Creating a peaceful plan, with lessons that are introduced in such a way that they seem natural... needs to be intentional!
Your child already has a natural curiosity to learn... to explore. Let's play on this curiosity, to introduce lessons in such a way, that they constantly feel as if they're part of an adventure.

My primary plan has intentionally incorporated nature into many of our activities, through the use of sand/ water trays and sensory bins. We've also used playdoh, art/ paint and puzzles, to facilitate both tactile and hands-on learning, as what the hand does, the brain remembers! (Maria Montessori)

Each reading book in this series, has 30 lessons and 30 activities. When thinking about a school year, 30 has also been intentional, as in a 39 week school year, it provides you with enough extra time to repeat or revise lessons as needed. (These lessons are perfect for new or struggling readers, dyslexic learners and mildly autistic students.) You never need to rush through learning, as everything has been paced in such a way to allow you both peace, and productivity!

By the end of Volume 1, your little one would have learnt to blend the 26 basic letter sounds, in a consonant vowel consonant (C.V.C.) pattern, so that he/ she can now read over 200 phonemic words. Your little one would have also had great exposure to dividing words into syllables and using those syllables to identify the individual sounds in that word.

In Unit 1 of Volume 2, your little one reviews (or learns) the 26 basic letter sounds, and how to divide words into syllables. In Unit 2 and Unit 3, your little one learns all the l blends (bl, cl, fl, etc.), the r blends (br, cr, dr, etc.), the s blends (sc, sk, sm, sn, etc.), the floss rule, 'all', 'oss', 'ng' words, and so much more!

In Volume 3, your little one learns consonant digraphs (such as ch, ph, sh, kn, mb), vowel teams (such as ai, ae, ie, oa, ow), the 6 types of vowels, and how they affect how we pronounce and spell words.

Children are amazing! With the right guidance, they can do incredible things!!!
